At CrossFit Ares, we created
Fitness Through Motherhood to change that.
This program is built specifically for postpartum moms who want to feel strong, confident, and capable again—without having to figure it out alone.
You’ll lift weights, move with purpose, and rebuild your body the right way—in a supportive environment that meets you where you’re at, alongside other moms walking the same path.
Fitness Through Motherhood originated at CrossFit Babylon in Babylon, NY, where Coach Trish Evangelista noticed a need to help local Moms back to exercise after giving birth.
Fast forward to today, the success of Fitness Through Motherhood is at CrossFit Ares with Coach John Welz, who has coached many of his moms through pregnancy and postpartum.
This program has the mom in mind. Whether you are looking to get back to fitness, sport, or just simple activity, we are building a community of moms to support each other and see success.

Join us for a special Pelvic Floor Health Seminar from a local Physical Therapist from Fixxed Studios, Kristina Minear, who specializes in postpartum physical therapy.
Symptoms often go unsaid or unnoticed. With this seminar you will learn and be provided resources for pelvic floor health.

Coach John Welz
Hey! My name is John (Coach John) and I have coached a number of mom that were members of ours through pregnancy and postpartum.
Every one of those moms had a different journey, and with that in mind is how I have coached and provided fitness guidance to all my moms over the last 5 years.
There is no cookie cutter program that will give you the proper progress, safety, and education that you need as you get back to fitness and activity. That is why Fitness Through Motherhood is coming to CrossFit Ares.
Not only that, but I have seen first hand the power of community that my gym has provided to many members over the years. Fitness Through Motherhood will be no different. Struggles and success will be shared and celebrated. Whatever may come up, we are going to have the support and resources that you need.
Nothing gets me more excited than seeing someone do something they never thought possible or have struggled with for some time. I live to coach and I am so excited to bring this program/resource to the local moms in our community!
